In the Fall of the year is when a lot of people see them at their picnics because by that time they’ve changed their eating habits. They’re going after sweet things.
They tend to go after sodas, anything with citric acid in it.
A lot of people will put out yellow jacket traps spiked with some kind of soda that has citric in it. If you put enough of the yellow jacket traps around they’re fairly effective in eliminating those workers that are out there foraging for food.
