The insurance companies ... report to ... the employers ... so the employer has a very vested interest in getting ... what we’re now calling ‘high performance networks’ ... .
So now, once you’ve got your network ... most people are looking for their metropolitan area, and so you can narrow down in the network as far as the geography ... .
People tend to have a preference ... for a man or a woman when it comes to choosing their physician ... and so I would go with my gut on that one.
Then you really want to dig into their background. You go to your state medical boards and find out if they’re in good standing, have they had any sanctions or disciplinary actions ... are they board certified?
