Ethics at Work

Working

Tip:  If you have an ethical dilemma at work, think about how it would sound to your family

The situations in which people are most likely to engage in behavior that violates their own ethical principles are situations where they haven’t planned ahead and anticipated how they could respond ... .

Think about the problem from other perspectives ... .

Don’t assume that the way you’ve been thinking about it is the only right way.

Imagine if the story were to appear on the front page of the newspaper. How would it sound to people less familiar with the details?

If you were to explain your behavior to your parents or your grandparents, how would it sound to them?
