These results are favorable for a wide variety of meditation based training.
The particular training that we used in this [Chinese] study is only now being translated into english, and it does require the help of a tutor, essentially, as you go through the training, at least to get the improvement in a very brief way.
However, if our study could be generalized to other forms of meditation, it does provide some favorable support for the idea that meditation can help you in dealing with stress and other ... negative reactions from the environment.
