It’s very important for people who decide to supplement their diets to know what they’re taking and why, and try to see if there’s any science behind it.
And if you do go to a health food store and you take supplements, let your doctor know what you’re on; some of these medications can interfere with other medications, and if you’re going in for surgery can interfere with the anesthesa and even blood pressure.
I’m not dismissing supplements because I’ve taken them over the years and still take calcium ... but you just have to be careful that you’re taking a credible medication from a credible source.
