Take everything that’s on your mind, put it on a list or write each one of ‘em on a separate piece of paper and throw all that in your ‘in’ basket. In other words, empty your head first of all the things, little, bad, big, indifferent, personal, professional; get it all out ... .
Then you go through each one of those items and say, ‘Okay ... what’s the project I need to keep track of until it’s finished, and what’s the next action step that needs to be taken to start moving on this’.
And that’s really quite simply all you need to do. You then need to, of course, park the results of that into some sort of an organizational system.
