Be a ‘futurist’ for your business.

In 2007 you should know, for the most part, where your industry is going in 2008, as much as you can glean that type of information from media resources, your industry trade publications, even just reading the business publications out there.

They might give you a macro view, whereas if you look at your industry from sort of a micro view, you get a ... much closer view of where the trends may be.

But you have to know that stuff, because no one’s going to know it for you.
