The most important thing you can do is let let go of your fantasies about how the holidays should be, because you’re going to be heartbroken.
You can’t imagine that you’re going to have all these kids all happily gathered under the Christmas tree, and that you’re going to have them with you all day long, ‘cause that’s generally not how it works ....
“B” is you have to think about the children first, and that’s not always easy, especially for step moms ....
You have to not play the game. You have to be kind and be good and think of the kids best interests and don’t get involved in bad mouthing or criticizing or competing.
