Heating Costs

Tip:  Use a programmable thermostat

A setback thermostat, or “programmable” thermostat, intimidates some people because they think of it as something technical and hard to put in, but they’re so simple ... .

Most systems only have two wires that you have to hook up. It’s a 12 volt system, so there’s no danger in terms of getting shocked ... but what it allows you to do is really adapt your heating style to your lifestyle.

So, at night it’s been proven that a slightly cooler temperature is better for sleeping, so it can lower that temperature down from 72 to 65, and you think about that; eight hours you’re lowering your temperature 7 degrees. That will save you a lot of money!

That will save you a lot of money.
