Working From Home

Working

Tip:  Weigh all the factors before deciding to work from home

The tele-worker has to be aware that...they’re working outside the corporate “hive”, so they have to be able to work that way.

“Can I work in the solitude of a home office?”

Now certainly the phone will be ringing, you’ll be getting e-mails, you might have a spouse or partner, you might have kids at some time in the home office which would lessen the isolation, but professional isolation may remain.

You need to know that your co-workers at the corporate office can work without you around...you need to be sure that the people...you collaborate with in a corporate environment or even your customers realize that...it’s just another number.

And then also...employees become so enamored with the concept that their bosses let them work from home that...the tele-worker...may work extra!
